Radiation physics, biology and safety

The aim of the course is to familiarise the students with the generation and effects of different types of radiation used in industry and daily life.

Examples include generation of ionizing radiation, interactions of radiation with matter, radiation detection and measurement as well as radiations units and quantities, radiation in the environment and its biological effects, usage of radiation in industry and research.
